When you Google this question, the top result is the CDC’s answer to the following question:

“Am I at higher risk for COVID-19 infection if I use drugs?”

“Although the risk of severe illness from COVID-19 for people who use drugs or have substance use disorder is not known, people who use drugs may have underlying medical conditions that put them at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19, and they may have concerns and questions related to their risk.”

Further, studies indicate that most drug using behaviors can increase the risks of COVID-19 transmission.

Now, consider this.   Restaurants (cooks, wait staff, dishwashers) have the highest percentage of illicit drug users of any industry.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, it might not matter to you if the cook making your meal was a drug user.  However, we are now pausing and evaluating every aspect of our life as it relates to safety and hygiene.

The fact of the matter is that some restaurants drug test their employees and others do not.  In fact, most do not.

If the quality of food is the same, the price the same and the setting the same, would you choose a restaurant that drug tests its employees over one that does not?

C-Screen lets you see how employers screen their employees, including which employers drug test and which do not. Click here if you would like to learn more and receive a complimentary report.  Restaurant ratings will soon be available.
